Your South Austin Rentals Review 2017 Restaurants

  |     |   Uncategorized

In the latest blog from your South Austin apartment community, we’ll be discussing some of the city’s hottest new restaurants.

Check out the post below, and be sure to share this link with your friends and neighbors at your South Austin rentals!

Bonhomie

Not only is this one of the best new restaurants in Austin, this is one of the best new restaurants in the country. The chef who runs Bonhomie used to run Uchi, so that should give you an idea of what to expect at this French/American eatery. While Uchi is high-end, however, Bonhomie is laid-back. So, what food should you order? It doesn’t matter — it’s all incredibly delicious.

Kemuri Tatsu-Ya

We have to give props to Kemuri Tatsu-Ya for their creativity. This is a Japanese- Texas BBQ restaurant, and only in Austin would Japanese-Texas BBQ be a thing. As we all know, Austin restaurants serve great BBQ. However, it is possible to grow tired of the same barbecued meat, over time. Kemuri-Tatsu-Ya offers a nice break from the usual Texas BBQ by serving interesting dishes like brisket ramen, guacapoke and pork fat tater tots.

Kemuri Tatsu-Ya is a fun time if simply for the fact that the menu is so inventive. You’ll probably spend at least 15 minutes looking at all the menu options before you decide what to get. If you decide to go, be sure to arrive early because this is one of the most popular new restaurants in Austin.

Soursop

Before we talk about the food at Soursop, we have to talk about the fact that they’re a “cash free business.” Soursop only accepts cards, and we love them for it. Cash is going the way of the dodo, and it’s high time restaurants starting catching on. Anyway, let’s talk about the grub.

If we had to label the Soursop cuisine, we’d call it Thai food. However, they also serve fried-chicken sandwiches, wings, and burgers. The main ingredients are distinctly Thai, however. Everything at Soursop is bursting with flavor, and everything comes out in gigantic portions. Soursop is located in kind of an empty part of town, but with a couple breweries and a whiskey distillery in the area, the neighborhood definitely has an, “up-and-coming” vibe.

Pitchfork Pretty

The Hill Country offers one of the most beautiful landscapes in all of Texas, and it happens to provide the people of Austin with tons of delicious food! Pitchfork Pretty is taking advantage of the bountiful Hill Country by serving meats and vegetables that are pastured and grown in the Hill Country.

Eating local is one of the best things you can do not just for your health, but for the benefit of the earth. Local food doesn’t have to be transported across the country, which saves gas. Eating local is also a way to support local farmers instead of gigantic corporate farms. Pitchfork Pretty is a beautiful restaurant on East Cesar Chavez, and they’re doing a beautiful thing by serving locally produced food.

With that, we’ve reached the end of our new restaurant blog! As always, we greatly appreciate those of you who decided to take some time out of your busy holiday schedule and read the latest edition of our blog. We hope you enjoy your next trip to one of these brand new Austin eateries!
